En el día de ayer el Portavoz Municipal y Presidente del Partido Popular de Gandia, Víctor Soler, se reunió con los portavoces municipales de los municipios de más de 50.000 habitantes de todas España.
La reunión fue presidida por el Vicesecretario de Política Territorial del Partido Popular, Antonio González Terol, y por el portavoz del PP en la Federación de Municipios y Provincias (FEMP), Jorge Azcón, y trató sobre la rebelión de los Alcaldes en el seno de la Federación Española de Municipios y Provincias frente al ninguneo en el reparto de los fondos europeos que ha sometido el gobierno de Pedro Sánchez a las entidades locales.
Los populares junto al resto de partidos, a excepción del PSOE, reclaman un Fondo para la Reconstrucción, haciendo efectiva la transferencia del 14,56% de los fondos europeos a los ayuntamientos y no del 4%, ya que es la proporción equivalente de las administraciones locales en el gasto público del Estado. Además de un fondo de 1.000 millones para el transporte. Todo ello atendiendo al papel fundamental que están desempeñando los ayuntamientos en la gestión de la crisis sanitaria y económica ocasionada por el coronavirus
A esta rebelión municipal se han sumado los alcaldes de Cádiz, Gerona, Lérida, Madrid, Reus, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Torrelavega, Pamplona, Valencia y Zaragoza, mientras los populares han acusado a Diana Morant de “no defender los intereses de Gandia”.
Así el portavoz popular, Víctor Soler, ha denunciado que “una vez más la alcaldesa de Gandia prefiere defender sus intereses personales y los de partido antes que los intereses de todos los gandienses. No es de recibo que Gandia rechace participar en el reparto de unos fondos europeos que ayudarían a modernizar, transformar y diversificar la economía de Gandia” a lo que ha añadido “esto es lo que ocurre cuando sufrimos a una alcaldesa más pendiente de no enfadar a sus compañeros de Valencia y así poder dar pronto el salto a Valencia que en defender a las familias de Gandia”.
Los populares ya han avanzado que en el próximo pleno municipal presentarán una declaración institucional para reclamar que el Ayuntamiento de Gandia reciba los fondos europeos que merece y no los asignados por el gobierno de Pedro Sánchez.
