Es tracta d’una acció de conscienciació i informació a la ciutadania promoguda per Ecoembes i la Generalitat Valenciana, amb l’incentiu de ser una competició de reciclatge entre municipis.
La població que més envasos de plàstic recicle durant els dos mesos següents a l’inici de la iniciativa rebrà un premi de 6.000 euros
El dijous 8 d’abril es duran a terme activitats de sensibilització i xarrades informatives sobre reciclatge al passeig del País Valencià i a la Casa de la Cultura
Tavernes de la Valldigna s’uneix a la campanya ‘El repte del reciclatge’ promoguda per Ecoembes i la Generalitat Valenciana, i serà el primer municipi on comencen les diferents activitats plantejades com una competició de reciclatge entre municipis. La iniciativa, en què també col·laboren la Conselleria d’Agricultura, Desenvolupament Rural, Emergència Climàtica i Transició Ecològica i el Consorci Ribera-Valldigna, premiarà la població que aconseguisca reciclar ‘Més. Millor. Sempre’ els envasos de plàstic i de llanda en el contenidor groc.
El ‘Repte del reciclatge’ naix com una competició entre municipis del Consorci per tal d’incrementar l’ús del contenidor groc. Durant els dos mesos següents a la iniciativa, es compararan les aportacions al contenidor amb les mateixes dades de l’any 2020, i guanyarà el poble on més haja crescut el reciclatge de plàstic. S’ha establert un premi de 6.000 euros per al municipi guanyador que, en cas que siga Tavernes, es destinaran a l’Associació Animalista de Tavernes de la Valldigna, l’Associació Escolta Valldigna i l’Associació Escolta l’Ombria.
Es tracta d’una acció de conscienciació i informació ciutadana amb l’objectiu d’oferir una nova vida als envasos que es dipositen en els contenidors grocs (plàstics, pots de llanda, etc.) i blaus (paper i cartó).
La regidora de Medi Ambient, Mònica Palomares, ha assenyalat que “és una gran notícia que ‘El repte del reciclatge’ arribe a Tavernes perquè la ciutadania puga conèixer de primera mà el procés de reciclatge i la seua importància. Anime tota la població a reciclar per a contribuir a la correcta separació i reutilització dels residus a fi de respectar el medi ambient i, en este cas, també podem ajudar a tres associacions locals amb el premi econòmic”.
Així, esta iniciativa arribarà a Tavernes el dijous 8 d’abril amb la ‘Furgoneta del reciclatge’, que s’instal·larà en el passeig del País Valencià, punt on es duran a terme diferents activitats amb els veïns amb la finalitat d’incentivar el reciclatge i resoldre dubtes sobre el procés i la separació correcta de residus. Al mateix temps, també es faran xarrades informatives en la Casa de la Cultura.
Les iniciatives impulsades per Ecoembes, l’organització ambiental sense ànim de lucre que coordina el reciclatge dels envasos de plàstic, el paper i el cartó, seguiran un estricte protocol sanitari i buscaran sensibilitzar la població de la importància del reciclatge per a cuidar el medi ambient i protegir el planeta. En 2019 es van reciclar més de 1,5 milions de tones d’envasos de plàstic, pots de llanda, envasos de cartó i paper en tot el territori nacional. Gràcies a esta quantitat de reciclatge, es van obtenir beneficis ambientals com ara evitar l’emissió de 1,67 milions de tones de CO2 a l’atmosfera, estalviar 6,36 milions de MWh i 20,74 milions de metres cúbics d’aigua.
