Hoy quiero agradecer a la Justicia el archivo del caso Púnica. Por fin, después de casi 7 años de falsedades y acoso del adversario, sufrimiento de la familia y de los amigos, acaba este calvario. Como se ha demostrado, sufrimiento innecesario. Nunca hubo nada ilegal ni irregular y quiero agradecer al juez Manuel García-Castellón su mano seria y firme, sin titubeos y pérdidas de tiempo, que lo único que hacen es dañar innecesariamente la imagen y la convivencia.
Quiero recordar a título personal, que abandoné la política por este caso y que siendo el único alcalde en la historia democrática de Gandia que ganó la alcaldía por mayoría absoluta, me aparté para poder defenderme de todas las acusaciones infundadas, dejando mi pasión, que era Gandia.
Dicho esto, y ahora que la Justicia ha hablado, me gustaría pedir como favor, no tanto para mí, sino para mi familia y mis amigos, que la prensa dedicase una porción de su papel, su web o radio, con el fin de poder resarcir -seguro que no llegará ni a un 10%-, el daño que me han hecho.
Gracias a todos los que confiaron, que son muchos. Y a mis adversarios, perdonarles por sus excesivas salidas de tono, en muchos casos impropias de políticos democráticos.
